Civil Court Commitments

Sioux Rivers funds the Judicial Court Advocate position to assist those who are court-ordered to mental health-related commitment services. In addition, commitment-related services such as evaluations, sheriff transport, and legal representation are also funded. Service Coordinators assist in the authorization of funding and work closely with the Judicial Court Advocate with follow-up services to ensure the continuation of care.

Civil Commitment Process

Sioux Rivers does not currently assist in the funding of substance use disorder court committals. However, Service Coordinators will assist in determining eligibility for continuation of care services related to co-occurring disorders.
